Elizabeth has had a love for writing since she was a little girl—specifically since using the simile “slower than a snail covered in molasses” in third grade. For years, her life went in many different directions, always going from one hobby to another to find the one that truly fit. She’s been in the equestrian business since she was born and loves it, but there was always something missing. Everything changed after a catastrophic ankle injury in 2021. The following five years were filled with so much pain, but also with opportunity. Sitting around between nine surgeries gave her the chance to rediscover her passion for writing, and she dove in head first. She dedicated her time to learning the art of the craft, even going back to school to get her bachelors in English online at TESU. The day before submitting the last of her course work, the first draft of The Sight of Sunder was complete. And the day after that, she started physical therapy following two intense surgeries and living with an external fixator for over a month; she is now a believer that good things really do come in threes. Thanks to her village of supporters and doctors, she fought to crawl to the light at the end of the tunnel, the light that was her debut novel.
